At this time of year we have a lot of new folks pass through this site , many of whom will stay with us we hope...I suggest to you that go back and read the old posts in march and april 2002, 2003, 2004 from the archives for the the board, as they contain great information I think...here is how to find them...go to home page of vaturkey.com, look on left cloumn and click on " old forum archives", then when that page opens it will say "general discussion " and at the top and in the left upper corner right under those words there will be a "click on" address for "vaturkey.com" ...click there and then you will see the old topics for 2002, 2003, 2004...there is some really great reading in there if you like dead turkey stories, pictures, , stategies and so forth...the march april posts in those years are loaded with good tips...have fun

Hey GN can you talk to the RC and see if they want to have a contest about early to mid feb? It will be hard to list helpful hints that have not been used but maybe this will force us all to go back and read the info you mentioned to give us a refresher
Anyways to all that are reading this you cant buy a magazine that gives better ideas. These are from real hunters hunting real Turkeys. We have all learned the hard way

and some of us ain't learned em all yet, mainly becasue the turkey are continuing to invent new ways to hoo-doo us everyspring. As for the Rule Committee..I used to think I had apretty good handle on them but it started sepaking from several voices last year...tended to confuse me...anyway..if anyone would like to donate some simple prizes like a call or something, I will pass those things on to the RCand see if the RC can't come up wit h some good pre-season contests....
