Re: It’s starting!!!
Saw a group of 6 crossing a corn field on Friday 3/26 in the New Baltimore area. On Sunday 3/28 heard my first gobbles of the year and had a strutter on a power line cut in Rappahannock Co. couldn’t resist throwing a few calls his way which he answered quickly. Can’t wait for the season to start.

Re: It’s starting!!!
Had birds gobbling great this chilly morning in northern Loudoun/Clarke County. One Tom and a jake on one side of the road, and three more Toms on the other side of the road. The two groups were about 500 yards apart but they all flew down into the same field I was parked near. Total of 12 hens, 2 Jakes, and 4 gobblers. Got to watch one gobbler actually breed a hen. Never seen that before in all my years chasing these birds. Pretty cool. Also saw a coyote that flushed two birds back into the the trees. Pretty good morning.
