I appreciate the guaranty....is there a way to register for the warranty? :o

Similar conditions down my way also. No guaranty though.

The shotgun season is "in" here now. Cant make myself go even though know exactly where I could go kill a longbeeard ......you sy thats a stupid thing to say and l say three of them are in the same field edge everyday for amount. I would rather think they would be there in the spring and take the wait.

The white oaks are awesome up here. But noticed the other day that some are beginning to sprout. But yea a good mast this year to maybe help the wildlife through the winter. The only thing I can say about the gobbling is that this past spring there were plenty of Jakes around so this coming spring they hopefully will be the vocal 2 year olds that we usually hear.

Now for fall hunting, folks once you do it and only focus on longbeards you will not see the spring season the same. Don't get me wrong I love the spring and the gobbling and challenges it has. But to call in a fall gobbler by just blind calling, breaking them up and not making one false note calling the gobblers back in with gobbler yelps and clucks is the ultimate challenge for me. Yea it is more frustrating and harder for a lot of folks but to me it is the most rewarding and accomplishment in turkey hunting. Also when one breaks up a hen flock and calls them back in, the vocalization they make is a rush. Now I don't personally shot the hens.If I am training a new turkey dog in its first year I will take a Jake, but only then. I still learn a lot on thier behavior. Now other folks I take out it is thier decision what they want to shot. In fact I truly believe that fall hunting has made me a better spring hunter. Besides I need all the help I can get. One can learn a lot on different calls and habits of turkeys hearing thier calls, meaning of thier calls, when and why they call. The cadences, pitch and tones is like a classical sympathy to me. I know I am sick.
So if you want to go bald like me and question your sanity as to why am I doing this, try fall gobbler hunting. Have a ton of fun this fall.
