mountain bird
me and the boss headed off to the mountains this morning to a place I scouted weeks back. We heard a lot of roost gobbling but it was aways off. Finnally around 745 we heard some we could get to. They came in fairly quick and Willard kils the strutter! 18.6 lbs 9 inch beard and 1 1/8 spurs Doug

Re: mountain bird
Mr Willard may be one of the luckier fellas around, having a turkey machine like Ol Doug as a hunting buddy. Congrats to you both.

Re: mountain bird
Congratulations Doug and Willard on another successful hunt, which although described modestly as an almost routine occurrence is anything but routine. Rugged country, likely no way to use decoys, this is as good as it gets. Really good pictures too. Doug, I'm guessing you use a camera with a timer? If my smart phone will do that my "smarts" haven't caught up with my phone.

Looks like a replay of your season last year. That's got to be one happy boss.
