Post Crisp clear morning!
Went to ole faithful this am without scouting yesterday. Was greeted by some distant gobbles then finally one close did a little hen tree talk and fly down with no response. The gobbler close to me flew down and went away gobbling. Heard a second bird fly down and I guess this must have been this gobbler. He came in silent, strutting to 20 yards then I lowered the boom. Good bird of 22 lbs and 1 1/4 spurs 10.5 in beard . Nice ice breaker!

Excellent. Not much doubt this kind of report was coming from you. Off to a great start. Keep that B Mobile safe this season!

Never let him get to b-mobile GN. He came in through the hardwoods to right of log. Strutted for 10 min within killing range. The oaks are real open. I could have killed him the first time I saw him but I over brushed my blind w cedar and never had a clear shot until he turned his fan to me. I scooched up and got down on bead as he turned in his strut . I guess a few years in the turkey woods has allowed me to be a little more patient and not try to rush anything....

Very nice! Those silent ones can be tough. Good to get him out of the gene pool.
