Another Nice Winter Hunt
My good friend Gratten Hepler with his Thursday morning Quantico gobbler. That is his spaniel (Missy) and my Patch. They made the bust together and 5 birds flew in different directions. I will let Gratten tell the story. Gun….Ithaca 16 Ga. double Weight… 16# 10 oz. Beard… 9.25" Spurs.. 1 1/4" and 1 1/8" Earl

Great job guys. I'm sure that did your pup a world of good Earl. Missy's a good dog for your pup to learn from, all business when it comes to turkeys.

That's awesome! You have had a heck of a fall season! I am still bummed I missed this hunt. Can't wait to hear the story! How has Patch been doing? I bet Gratten is all smiles! It is always nice when you invite a friend to hunt and things work out!!

Awesome hunt!!!! The hunt on Tuesday was a blast especially watching Missy and Patch do what they do. The real question is, did yall at least make it 300 yards from the truck????

Too funny, yes it was about 300 yards. It was a windy and long walk Tuesday. But you seen some new area and good sign. Earl

Re: Another Nice Winter Hunt
Almost stayed in the bed instead of hunting in the rain this morning, but knowing I'm not going to be able to hunt as much as I'd like in the spring I figured I better get out one last time this winter. I'm glad I did, it was nice to see a strutting gobbler with some hens and to call them all in almost like an early spring hunt.
