Well hopefully will finish the slam along with 3 others in FLA. The other one of us going will still have to kill a Merriam. I may know where he can find one of those
So I will hunt Fla for the opener, VA and very possibly TN. Thats it for now, man I cant wait. Its not even Jan and I am ready.

Just Virgina and West Virginia right now.. there is a very small possibility that I may get a chance to head to Missouri for a few days.. but I doubt that will happen unless I can really keep it low budget..
I'm jealous of you fellows heading to Fla.. I hope you guys have fun and bag some long beards and sharp spurs though..

Hunting At Home
Looks like a VA season for me. I'd really like to get a nice bird in a special place in the National Forest that I've been hunting for a few years now without connecting. There are birds there that have seemed to escape me for several years. I'm hoping this is the year. Good luck to all of you that are traveling and attempting to complete the Slam.

I will be hunting Virginia this year. I do have a possibility of North Carolina also if the owner of the property and I can work out some dates.

spring planning
I will be hunting in VA again. I am planning on going to Kansas again this year as well. How does the outlook for spring turkey in VA look. I am worried here in Central VA there are no acorns for the birds in the winter. Anyone here anything?
