There is no doubt you are now ruined for life...if you weren't already! haha just kidding. You are quite the storyteller. Wondering if you've considered being an outdoor writer some day?

I must say that is the most impressive example of virtual scouting I have ever heard of. I'm personally still waiting for Google Earth to become high resolution enough that I can see turkey scratching in the woods from aerials! Or what about instead of game cameras someone comes out with turkey recorders you place throughout the woods and they tell you what time, direction and distance away a turkey gobbles?! We make jokes about such, but think about how far technology has come with fish finders, game cameras and the like. Neat and scary all at the same time. Okay I'm giving away all of my million dollar invention ideas. Congratulations!

Turkeypicker: I have always enjoyed creative writing. My "problem" is that I like to write when I like to write, not when I am told to or told WHAT to. Who knows, though. Maybe someday in the future I could pick it up!

For me, virtual scouting is nothing short of necessity. Having just moved to Roanoke from the Richmond area, I have no idea where to hunt for what. To make matters worse, I have little time to get in the woods to scout. I don't have a GPS, so I have to go old school and pretend I have orienteering skills to get to a spot in the woods. I enjoy looking at maps and learning the terrain that way so that I know where I am at any point. All a part of the experience!

As to your future Turkey Sonar device, I think that if we all put our heads together we could figure something out :)
