Post Wheelin' hunt
15 hunters came in for this years’ hunt. All hunters heard birds and most got to see birds.
3 hunters managed to put birds on the ground and some nice birds at that!
All 3 over 20 lbs with the heaviest weighing in at a tad over 23 lbs!
Big thanks to all the volunteers and to the landowners who gave us permission to hunt their farms.

3 proud hunters! This brings our total to 19 birds over the last 7 years of this hunt.

Great report Barry. I know it is heartwarming to all if us to see the results of your hard work to make this hunt what it is. You should be very pleased with how this has turned out.

Thanks for thinking about us!
Both blind hunters had birds close but things just didn't work out :(

Post Re: Wheelin' hunt
I was a caller for one of our legally blind hunters at the hunt..... I must admit that I sit in awe of anyone with loss of sight even attempting such a feat. My hunters wife tagged along to serve as his spotter. She, sitting behind his right shoulder was to whisper to him exactly where the gunbarrel needed to be moved to be on target. Once ,on target she was too tell him to pull the trigger. We the average turkey hunter take so much for granted when we,ablebodied hunters enter the turkey woods each time out. Sorry to say, we did not draw a bead on an ole turkey birds head but for this ol boy, the privilege of spend one day in the life of ( my new friend) Chuck Tucker.... will certainly will be a morning to remember.

Cudos to all you that help with this. If I weren't so far away I would volunteer too. Doesn't get much more noble than that.

Well done!
