Anybody else still think allthe turkeys still ganged up I was working a gobbler he sounded good on the roost but shut up on the ground. I think he had hens with him, any of you guys experience anything like this today?

Majority have hens in the western part in the mtns. Just about every bird I've worked this year in Tenn has had hens and the one I killed yesterday in Va had a pile of em

Did see& hear a few hens but called in 3 longbeards hanging together on the roost & walkin the woods, all three were strutting & gobbling. Had em at 35 yards ,would not walk up to my decoys and my shooter never had a clean kill shot in a fairly thick piece of woods. Tells me the best is yet to come :D

Let me think here. I think i have seen it sixteen tomes this year in three states so far. Strange year of behavior but us an annual event when hens just go straight to gobblers off the limb.
