Post I Got lucky this morning..
Took a friend out who has never killed a gobbler .. was really trying to get him one.. we got on this hot bird first thing.. I bet he gobbled 50 times on the roost and 3 on the ground.. setup some dekes in an old road bed.. put Doug where he could shoot the road bed.. the Bird came in on the left through some Thick stuff.. turns out there was a horse path right through there that I didn't know about though.. Doug had no shot so I got lucky I guess .. killed him with my 20 gauge .. first longbeard with it.. I kinda felt bad though ..

We hit another spot and I called another one in as well after moving on him a couple of times.. saw him and he looked locked in on my hen decoy so I told Doug to wait thinking he would get closer and I would get it on Video.. and I guess the bird saw something he didn't like and alarm putted and was gone.. so I again cost Doug a bird cause when I ask him afterwards I said could you have killed him and he said yes but you told me to wait :( .. I told him next time don't listen to me :)

The Bird and Doug with his Guide that definately doesn't get a Tip.. and may get fired soon :)

2 year old..

21.2 lbs
10.5 inch beard
One Spur 1/2 inch .. the other leg was bare ..
