Beautiful Morning- Sons first bird!
Had an amazing morning in the woods with Beardbuster84 (Kirk). Spent the morning chasing turkeys and my son had an opportunity to take his first shot at this bird... a great first!!
Thanks so much Kirk for the invite, calling, guiding, and unbeatable fun. My son will not stop talking about it. Looking forward to getting back out there. I have a video but am having trouble getting it from the camera onto the computer.
As soon as I figure it out I will get it up online! You can hear the stress in my voice. I think Kirk and I were more nervous than Gabe.
Best of luck to everyone!

Monster bird. He's been eating well. Great for a youngster (or even for an oldster like me).

Re: Beautiful Morning- Sons first bird!
What an awesome time this morning there's nothing more i love than to be able to have been giving the chance to take a youth out hunting an being able to score on a nice longbeard. Thanks Geoff an Gabe for coming out to meet me this morning an having great fellowship with two great guys, what an awesome unfold of events i'm so fortunate to be able to have some nice places to turkey hunt. We had the decoy's set out in a little field when we heard a gobble about 100yrds from us so i grabbed ole three toes out, and did some soft calling with no response then i got a little more louder with it an they doubled gobbled so at that point i knew i had there attention then i waited a while for them to gobble again but nothing so in the back of my mind i was like shucks there gone. So then i broke out my primos wet box an started doing some soft clucks an purrs, followed with some ole three toes yelps wham they double gobbled again but closer only kie 60yrds this time GREAT i was thinking!! Then off in the distance i could hear spittn an drummin so then i knew there locked on the decoy's, and pictures tell the rest of the story. What a great job Gabe on your first gobbler congrats to you and your dad, an Thanks Geoff for your service to this Great Country we live in, an are giving the chance of our Freedom to enjoy the sport of turkey hunting.
