Traps out!
Set the homeplace up a little this morning. 4 dirts holes, 5 coon sets, and a little something for a beaver that is destroying our pond. I will post catch results if I get anything. I'm not terribly optimistic though.
I used a very loud bait in the dirt holes. I made it out of tainted beaver and a skunky solution. I'm afraid it will be a possum magnet and everything else will stay away for the 2-3 nights that I have the traps out.
The beaver has been educated by a prior attempt to catch him. May be tough to catch now.
The coon traps are baited with sweet bait only, just though I'd try something new.

These are the only pics I took of the short line on my farm last week. Smallest beaver I ever caught, coming off a castor mound. He's in a body gripper, that's his tail pointing toward the mound.
