Post Introduction
I'm new here and fairly new to Turkey Hunting and thought I'd introduce myself. I live in Arlington, but hunt Rapphannock and occasionally Bath Counties. I tried turkey hunting for the first time two years ago and haven't had any success yet, but I was hooked the first time I had one gobbling back at me. Due to work and my two Man Cubs at home, I haven't had much time to spend in the woods during the spring. However, New Year's resolution is to get more serious about it and make this the year so I'm looking to learn as much as I can from folks like you.

Let me apologize in advance for all my ignorant questions.

Post Welcome
Glad you found us. No matter how long you have been hunting, you'll always learn something about turkeys, hunting turkeys and hunters on this board. A great place to start is to look at the old posts, particulary the contest last sping on tips. I printed those out last year, and man, I'm telling you there are years of experience in that one. Welcome aboard and fire those questions.

DoubleH,

Welcome to the forum.
Since you live in Arlington, you might consider hunting at Quantico Marine Corps Base. There are alot of turkeys on the base. You can also learn alot from the other hunters in the line waiting for hunting passes. Here is their website: http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/g5/nrea/fwa/hunting.htm
