Well I was out there before light at the top of the mountain and when day broke the woods were silent. Man i can win. I hiked about 2 1/2 miles for this bird and then didnt even hear him. My area is really dead right now. I have heard only one bird in 3 days of hunting and 3 different spots. I am in Rockingham county. ANyone else not hearing anything out in this region?

2 pieces of advise

1. DO NOT name the bird. That is a sure fire bad luck charm. Some of the best hunters on this board have named birds only to be foiled again and again season after season. then we all feel kind of sad when the nemisis is finally taken. Especially by someone else

2. Don't give up. You don't HAVE to go back to PA. Sleep in the car, eat twigs and bark, or whatever you have to do. Just don't give up.
