Big Cat
...not my son's cat, not mine, but a member of our board did catch it this past Friday night...he needs to tell the story and describe the size...
all I have to say is BIG CATS can come from small creeks/rivers here in SC...
WOW - what a Flathead!!

Thats a dagum big cat wish i kew who caught it! Oh yeah it was me! I took a buddy out bream fishing friday night down on a local river that I've been known to catch a few big flatheads out of, and I got tired of bream fishing so i decided to throw out a couple of my big rods with some cut bream. I baited one and threw it out turned around to bait my other and the first on started takin line. When i picked it up I knew he was a decent fish cause he started stripin drag on my abu, but it was honestly a short fight maybe 2 minutes because of the small hole we were fishing in. But we eneded up catching about 7 more that night in the 10-20 lb range and releaseing them. That one weighed around 50lbs, measured 44 inches and 29 1/2 inch girth and to date is my biggest freshwater fish. i've caught several more out of that hole this summer that were in the 30 lb. range and one was 42lbs. I'll try to get some more pics of the fish up today or tomorrow,
