Post Average Hunting Days?
Trying to start doing some more planning for my spring of '04 hunts and got to thinking about how many days I will be hunting this season. Try out the new poll and tell us about how many days you hunt on average!

I'm guessing it was around 20 days, I voted 11-20. Don't have my log here at work.

I hunt about 15 to 18 days in the spring. Although I have to be at work at 8:00 that usually cuts my hunts short. I have off every friday and I usually treat my weekly morning hunts as scouting for Friday and Saturday. But on some mornings when I come across a bird that is really hot, I can usually close the deal and be at work on time. I have it all down to a science. I wear work clothes and put coveralls on over top of them. So at 7:30 all I have to do is change from boots to shoes. It makes my day just to be able to hunt before work. I've been hunting turkeys for 13 years and like most everyone else here. I can say there is nothing like it!

I hunt everyday until 9-10 unless the weather is bad and then try to get as much work done so the next day it is pretty i can stay longer. You really got to love it because by the end of season i am dragging.

I am lucky to be able to hit a spot in the am for awhile then go into work about 9-10am each morning... ..Still I never break my rule of leaving a answering bird..unless the bell has tolled 12.... I avg 4 mornings a week plus Sat..... I just LOVE the game!!

11-20 for me as well. With days off in-between shifts, and by taking some vacation time here and there, I can get quite a few days to hunt spring birds here in NY. My two favorite seasons are: Fall bowhunting for deer, and Spring turkey hunting.
So I do take some vacation time for these two pursuits of mine, but I do have to save vacation for the Holidays and family get togethers, so as you can see, vacation time can be a precious comodity. I do envy some guys who can hunt the whole season.
