Man, I couldn't be happier for you! Scott left out the part about me wanting to move on the gobbling bird some 15 minutes before the one 80 yards in the tree let loose a gobble! Make no mistake about it, this bird met his maker due to three things:
1. Great intel...TScott and Big Birds previous hunt revealed alot of details 2. Great instincts by TScott...when I said let's move on the gobbling bird, he was in the act of picking up shop to move and he stopped and said let's give it awhile as he knew their last encounter resulted in the bird being right where we were set up
3. Determination...never, ever give up. TScott is not blessed with a job that permits him to hunt very much in early season. He is fortunate to get some time off usually during the last two weeks, which we all know is an entirely different type of hunting. Even with these facts, TScott never shows a sign of negatism. Somehow, we make things happen and I think this is mainly due to our willingness to simply stay after 'em until the Fat Lady plays her music.
Regardless, we always have successful hunts, bird or no bird. Congrats again my Friend on a game well played!

Whew!!
Glad you didn't end out the season empty-handed. Nice bird! Gotta love those 'lucky' setups! Makes you look !

O.K. Some more pictures to add. Dialup was not working so well at the house so I had to wait until I got back to work.
