JU JU located in NY, tag out.
What a hunt.........beautiful weather, great fishing, and 3 gobblers go down in the Empire State.....First morning my buddy and I doubled up on a pair of 20lb gobblers.......the next morning I scored again on another.......we let some jakes pass......but altogether, we called in 11 gobblers within shotgun range in 4 days of hunting......some exited without getting a shot fired at em.......others weren't quite what we were looking for.......we couldn't have asked for better weather......70's....still......sunny........lows in the 50's.......just awesome........hunting up there is crazy........you go into one area and never hear a peep, then you go about a mile out a mountain top, and hear 8 gobblers.....it's wild.....

Sounds like a good trip, you didn't share any of your southern secrets with them boys up there did you? Yall huntin on public land? One of these days if i could ever afford it it would be great to start out in early march down south and just keep hunting all spring all the way up north. Is it expensive to get license and tags for out of state?

T.W, I haven't done the research, but I think NY is one of the cheapest states to hunt spring gobbler non-resident......we spend $85 for license(55 for small game, 30 for turkey tags)......we hunt state land, and although we heard more shots this year than any other, we've talked to one other turkey hunter up there in the 3 years we've been going....all the people up there like to listen to us talk, the gobblers must have felt the same way this year.
GN, I still got one more tag left, and one week...no rest for the weary.

Got pics, but no scanner, and no digital camera.......maybe for Father's Day or Christmas(I don't know if my wife checks the board or not, but just in case)
