Funny Story
I took a friend of mine's Dad out today to try and get him his first gobbler. He has hunted his whole life but has never had a chance to go turkey hunting and he was really jacked about the hunt. We got set up on a bird about 70 yards away that was really hammering my calling (don't you just LOVE two year olds). I had him sitting about twenty five yards in front of me on an old logging road and I could tell he was getting real excited as the gobbler was sounding off about every 5 seconds. Well, after about a half an hour on the limb he finally decided to fly down. The reason I know this is because my friends Dad turned around to face me and hollered "I just saw him fly down!!". When I say hollered, I mean hollered. Needless to saw we heard no more gobbling from that bird. I felt real bad for him and didn't have the heart to tell him why the bird quit gobbling, so I told him I heard some hens yelping with them and they must have carried our bird away with them when they hit the ground.

funny story
hendup,
Good for you for not embarrassing the gentleman by telling him WHY the bird went away.
