Post Flash Hunt
Got setup at 5:25 at the only place close to my house I have permission to hunt. Heard a couple gobbles way off at daylight. About 6:30 I heard a bird on the next farm over. I hurried down the hill to an inside corner of the pasture. Called once (2 reed Murphy) and heard three gobbles. Moved another 20 yds, sat down and saw three jakes in the field on the next farm. I called again and gobbles up the hill from the jakes in the woods. A few minutes later they gobbled and were closer. Called yet again and two LBs were running toward me. They started turning about 80yds out so I yelped another time and they turned toward me. Walked to 45yds and I shot the closer of the two lefthanded at 6:42 (the birds looked like twins at that distance).

9.5" beard
19lbs
3/4" spurs (right is a shade over 3/4")

Flash hunts can be nothing short of a miracle. Got the monkey off my back last year thanks to a flash hunt with TScott. Congrats.
