Post Calling to Birds
I am new to Turkey Hunting. I am good on the part of not moving, using complete camo, paterning my shotgun, scouting birds, and decoy setup. My problem is I have no idea on what I need to " say " to a gobbler to get him to come in. I am by no means new to hunting but I am a first timer on Turkey. If anyone could give some advise I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Generally speaking CD yelp, clucks, and purrs will call in most turkeys that are going to come in to calling. Start off soft and do not call to them a lot in the tree. If the turkey starts coming... let him come, don't mess it up by calling. If he stops out of range sometimes soft clucks and purrs will bring him on in. If he shows no interest you might have to get more aggressive. In all honesty... it's all about experience... it's the best teaching... but a slow one!

Good luck!
