Post NAFA Top Lot
Got a text message from my partner last evening. The results from the North American Fur Auction of our under ice beaver line are in.

One of our beavers from the pictures below made Top Lot at the June NAFA sale.

3XL-XXL SSL XD-DK $170

Our 12 furs averaged $49 before commission. $40 after. To say I was thrilled was an understatement.

I want you to know it is not about the money. It is about the adventure we had and the extra care we put into getting our beavers ready for the sale.

The market report in the most recent Trapper said if beaver are a target on your line go after them when they are prime. How can you not like under ice beaver trapping. :)

Thank you for your positive comments in our Under Ice Beaver thread. You are all an inspiration.

Almost bought a coat for my wife made a beaver. She does have a warm head band. I think she likes it because it is warm, waterproof and matches her hair. When she has the head band on you can't tell where the band ends and her hair begins.

Very nice catch there. Wish I was somewhere I could trap again. Working on a move, hope I can sell the house.

That's an incredible accomplishment particularly for that grade of beaver. Congratulations! Almost time to begin again....

Congrats Coalman....a top lot beaver is quite a feat! I got a couple on greys a few years ago that I was proud of. My best grey that year I sold to a private buyer, maybe I could of had three...lol.

But that I was shocked to get a top lot letter this year on a red. The red was close to the bottom of it's section. I looked back at the sale prices and close to every lot of reds in that section sold for the same price....guess they sent out a lot for letters on reds last year....
