first traps out.... (backyard traps)
Really wasn't expecting to put any kind of traps out until Thanksgiving. But as I pulled up tonight in the dark after work a nice grey fox ran from my front yard across the street. I called out to it and it wasn't alarmed. This is in the city. First day of trapping....two sets in the fenced in back yard. I imagine it will take a good while for them to connect....but they're in!

Re: first traps out....
Doubled on silver fox this morning, Huw's first trapline experience: I'll try to keep this updated with catch pics from these 2 traps throughout the season.

Always good to get egg suckers out of the way. Grays in the city, wow.

Re: first traps out.... (backyard traps)
I reset these to traps yesterday for the first time since before Thanksgiving. Nothing last night, but this evening I heard some barking in the back yard....went out to find another grey fox. Too dark for pics. I think there's a lot of them around here. Hopefully pick up some coon back there too.
