August 25, we will be having our annual family picnic at Rural Retreat lake. Come and bring a dish. We will be at the shelter down at the lake. We will be doing our usual raffle and will be holding a swap meet. If you have anything outdoor related bring it with you to do some trading on.We will also need items donated for the raffle. Look forward to seeing everyone.

September 22 be will be having a trapper training class. It will be at Rural Retreat Lake and you need to pre-registerf with Travis or me to attend. Lunch will be served by district #1. Randy and Travis are working out the details on it. Travis has posted his contact info on here.


October 19 and 20 we will be having our annual trapping convention at Bland Fairgrounds. The bunkhouse will be open should you want to stay in it. Probably will have a meal as usual on Friday night.


Our fur sale will be the first saturday in March which will be the 2nd. The state sale should be the second saturday. District 1 sale will be at the livestock market in Wytheville.

We have discussed having a fur demo day this year. we havent finalized the plans for it yet. Need input on when you think we should hold the fur demo day. Got to have fur.


We are getting raffle tickets made to raffle off a Henry Golden Boy 22 rifle. We will be passing out those tickets as soon as we get them. We will draw the gun off at our Fall convention in Bland.



If you have been unable to attend our monthly meetings you can see we have been doing something besides setting on our butts and eating lol. We got a lot going on the rest of the year so get out and take advantage of your district events. BIG THANKS TO THE MEMBERS WHO HAVE AND ARE STILL WORKING TO MAKE OUR DISTRICT A SUCCESFUL ONE..
