Was wondering what you have found to work and not work for a red spotlight. My last one did not last very long before dying. I am looking for a handheld, plan on getting a gun light later.
Thanks!

Re: Spotlight for hunts
A friend of mine said he takes some red plastic cellophane, puts 2 or 3 layers over a regular lite and... instant predator lite.

In this department you do get what you pay for. I'm trying a new light by Fenix right now it is a TK30 it is small and light and the extra batteries are light as well. I put it up agaist a Brinkman 2 mill candle power light and there is very little difference in range and about 10 times lighter to carry and throws a more constant beam. One set of batteries lasted me 3.5 hours the other night so you will out last atleast 3 brinkman batteries. Also the Lightforces are great lights as well and will last a longtime with the battery pack system. These are super lights with great range and aren't bad to carry around either. I've used and had a lot of different lights and these so far are my top two I've used.
