Who's ready? I'm counting down the days myself, hopefully labor day will bring lots of geese and doves down. Will be interesting to see how the birds react to nonstop pressure from 7 day huntin. I think its gonna be a lot more hit and miss than usual, and a lot of honey holes will be burnt up early and new less pressure spots will be the key. Jmo. |

Have managed to get a few, but has been hard hunting. Not many geese in my spots and most have been passing shots. |

TScott and I did a cast and blast yesterday. Only saw two family groups loafing mid-day. Managed to get a pair. On the drive between the take out and put in after the float, saw why so few on the river. They were in a nearby field feeding in the drizzle. We did manage to see a few mature bald eagles, a rarity in our area. Caught 6 species of fish totally over 40 in numbers. A good day on the river... |

Good deal. A lot of times it's hard to get on birds in the early season. |
