Good deal I'm glad you got on some. I'm headed down to Amelia on sat to try and get on some ringnecks, then next weekend up for a hunt on the Potomac. Hoping to get on a sprigue, or a bull can.

Got into a bunch of ringnecks in the fog this am. Saw some mallards give us a flyby, but were to high.

Way to go on the ringers! Hunted a lake in Loudoun Co sat w some guys. Killed 13 geese ...2 buffs... redhead and a mallard drake . Had a deicer but there was a large open area in middle about 2 acres lot of divers went there and not to our hole.

Henned- fooled with the deicer stuff for forty +years, and have used small air compressors through ventilated sunken tubing, well pumps with propellors, but the real thing, hands down is the Mallard view Outdoors Ice Eater…got one three years ago and there is no comparison...somewhat expensive at perhaps $700…but it will open and keep open a fifty yard hole in sub zero temps. Can run it off a portable generator or a plug in to 110.. if you go full in on this set up, and want coplete portability, The honda 2000 generator accepts a six gallon auxiliary tank that will run the ice eater for fifty hours.. I could not endorse any outdoor product more than this Ice Eater. (edit to correct hole size at zero degrees…50 yds wide eighty yds long….kept open that size or bigger through last few weeks of frigid air with wind chills well below zero on many day).

Diffuser and air compressor and a kenco ice eater Hendup. Diffuser worked better in deeper water .
