Post seeing any birds?
I haven't seen any ducks for a couple weeks now, but been seeing geese flying almost every afternoon. I guess the migrators are showing up. I hope they get some cold weather up north and push down a few greenheads around thanksgiving.

Did some scouting on the river this morning and saw 16 woodies. Henricus Park was full of mallards and gadwalls. Gonna check out Lake Chesdin in the morning.

Not much to report here in the ways of numbers of ducks. The local ponds that are easily monitored show no signs other than locals that have been here since the summer. No migrators to speak of. With the looming colder than normal weather pushing in over the weekend, will be interested to see what ducks push in from other areas. I've seen nothing yet to get me excited enough to come out of the deer woods, but hoping that changes soon!

Finding some mallards blacks woodies and teal in some tight spots .......some ducks here in good numbers but you got to know where to look. Good numbers of divers showing on tidal rivers too! Gonna take a break from deer hunting and bang on some ducks this week with cold pushing down!

Killed some buffleheads and gadwalls this am on Potomac wind was wrong for blind but scratched out 1 limit out of 3 hunters. I think 4 gads and 2 buffs.

Weatherman lied sat morning. Overcast but no sleet or snow til 2 pm. No wind either at daybreak . Water like glass and we weren't on the x. Managed 2 bull cans that wanted to commit suicide. Saw a lot moving though. Ducks are here for sure!

Killing a few puddlers here n there. Slow in this heat wave though. Will get better if we have a cold weather front! Lots of divers around on the big water!

down my way we never got any signfiicant push of birds all through December. Looking at single digit temps in next few days. Have been on some super out of state huns in Missouri and in Arkansas, but locally it is been a few here and a few there. Been heavy in blackducks last week or so, and down here that usually means the peak of the migration has occurred. If that indicator is true this year, well, l never knew it had started, let alone getting ready to end.

GN, "I never knew it had started" My frustration exactly. Interestingly this morning with single digits we saw only black ducks and small divers. Saw the largest group of blacks ever 20 birds in a group over the decoys. I mostly see pairs or maybe 4 at a time but never that many. No mallards this morning. Cold weather to the north where are the birds?

Killed 7 mallards 6 gadwall ....b bills ...couple of cans and 9 geese on big water today. Ice flow was a pain but birds decoyed well! 12 degrees this am! Usually don't kill mallards at this hard bottom point. Ice had them looking hard Was cooking breakfast and had 30 bbills buzz us at 20 yards never fired a shot...talk about caught w pants dwn ....mouth was full of maple duck sausage and eggs!

Thursday banged real good on the mallards and blacks and teal on my millet pond. 1st hunt there all season.....prolly 60 tried to dump n there from first lite til 10 am.
