How'd everyone make out yesterday? Slow but stead day in Surry County. Shots rang out all day but never had tons of birds flying. Most averaged between 6-12 birds...

The action and the Temps were hot in Orange co. many limits taken, out of the field about 5:30.

i did good opening day shot 8 overall a group of guys down the road, hunting over a cut corn field was slaying them which i think they were baiting can't prove it tho, but all the birds i killed were full of sunflower seeds... I drove around an didn't see the first field with sunflowers in it. Went back the following Saturday an didn't see the first bird ....

Lots of doves this year. Planted about 3 acres of sunflowers and have hunted it 4 times . Limits by all. My neighbor came over and hunted yesterday by himself and had a limit in 40 min.
