Me and a buddy hit a little pond yesterday am that holds a mess every year. Usually its a feeding destination but the other morning to my supprise, we jumped at least 100 off as we set dekes in the dark. They flew out for at least 2-3 minutes! I guess the warmer weather had them roosting in flooded timber. Anyway these were a few that trickled back. Only had an hour to hunt... The drake with the band was banded in Erie, PA in Sept of this year.
