This estimate represents an 11 percent increase over last year’s estimate of 40.9 million birds and is 35 percent above the 1955-2010 long-term average. I love all kinds of hunting but waterfowl has really taken a strong hold in my list of passions. Can't imagine how bad I'd really have it if we lived in a solid flyway...glad to see we'll have the opportunity to see good numbers of waterfowl again this year. Who knows, maybe this year some jewelry will make it our way again...

Then, a huge snowfall that buried whatever food they might have found. Then, lots of empty skies. Don't count your limit before they're shot! Wow, don't I sound optimistic?
