BnD,
I think like most hunters, and even more so with duck hunters folks aren't overly eager to volunteer where they have been going and have been having success. I have waterfowl fever pretty bad and despite my hot and cold shooting have had a pretty good year so far. I've killed a limit of geese 2 of the 3 times I have gone in the last week and have managed to scratch down a few ducks, but should have at least as many more. I am headed to Maryland this weekend for a morning sea duck hunt and an afternoon Canada Goose hunt with friends so I am hopeful that the birds move that day.
As for duck numbers we have been seeing a fair number of mallards this year. The ice in the ponds and swamps we hunt around Christmas time messed us up some, but we are still seeing ducks and a good number of migratory geese. Less than 20 days left in the season so I'm going to take advantage of it when I can.

I got up at 3:30 yesterday morning, traveled 1 1/4 hours only to find the river frozen bad enough I could not get access to water.

Have been on two other hunts where we killed some geese and two ducks.

Ice Ice Ice. Sold my big duck boat this summer so I'm stuck with small water hunting. All my swamps are frozen
