Re: anybody hunting ducks this year
BnD, I think like most hunters, and even more so with duck hunters folks aren't overly eager to volunteer where they have been going and have been having success. I have waterfowl fever pretty bad and despite my hot and cold shooting have had a pretty good year so far. I've killed a limit of geese 2 of the 3 times I have gone in the last week and have managed to scratch down a few ducks, but should have at least as many more. I am headed to Maryland this weekend for a morning sea duck hunt and an afternoon Canada Goose hunt with friends so I am hopeful that the birds move that day. As for duck numbers we have been seeing a fair number of mallards this year. The ice in the ponds and swamps we hunt around Christmas time messed us up some, but we are still seeing ducks and a good number of migratory geese. Less than 20 days left in the season so I'm going to take advantage of it when I can.

Re: anybody hunting ducks this year
I got up at 3:30 yesterday morning, traveled 1 1/4 hours only to find the river frozen bad enough I could not get access to water.
Have been on two other hunts where we killed some geese and two ducks.
