Almost Over
We finally scratched a good strap on Saturday. Two blacks, four mallards and a couple geese. The birds we saw were willing to work. My young Chesapeake figures this game out a little more each hunt. The lesson for this hunt was "those super size ducks just don't fit in my mouth no matter how hard I try" It's fun watching her mature. Just not enough hunts with birds. I'm heading to New Zealand for three weeks of fly fishing and backpacking so no late season geese. Good luck to you guys as late season geese can be fun.
