How Long Do They Stay?
Once the migration gets here, about how long does a particular duck or group stay in our area? In other words, how likely are you to be hunting & educating the same ducks from one hunt to the next?

Migrators come and go in phases, mainly depending on weather to our North. Just my opinion, but if you are seeing migrating birds and you can hunt them, you better. I remember a few years ago we had a solid push of migrating birds in mid December. We were still on deer pretty hard then, even though we knew a push was on. By the time deer was winding down, warmer weather had pushed in and the birds were gone. There are usually some local birds that you can hunt, but nothing like hunting migrators pushing south.
