 Firing blanks...legal?

Post Firing blanks...legal?
Does anybody know if it against VA law to fire a starter pistol or blanks? I live in Fairfax county & I fear I will be hammered by "the Man" if I fire off some blanks while working my lab. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this?

Good question . . . I've been wondering the same thing and don't have an answer, but I'm sure someone here does . . .
