Post Female Mallard
Here is a female Mallard, took this pic on the Maury river in Buena Vista. They stay in a little spill way canal off of the flood wall. They have gotten used to seeing people come buy and are not to afraid. I was able to get fairly close.

Another awesome pic! I can't believe the pictures that camera takes. I have been drooling over that camera for awhile now. The prices have really went down since they came out with the D80. Found a new one yesterday for $249 for the body and the charger. Problem is the lenses

Tscott, that sounds like a good price. I give $699.99 for mine at Best Buy in December. It did come with 1 lens the 18- 55mm ED AF-S DX Zoom- Nikkor lens. Then I purchaced a Tamron AF75- 300 mm macro for $109.00 off the net. Its a good lens and cheaper than the nikon lens. It lets me zoom in and get those close up shots. The next lens on my wish list would be a 400mm or 5oomm lens. The VR lens that nikon makes would be really nice, but then you get upwards of $1000.00 and more. My camera also came with Battery pack and charger. I have got more $ in my camera than I do most of my guns. I just keep telling myself that I can shoot animals with the camera all year long. The gun I can only shoot with a couple weeks a year.  After getting my camera, it has made me really slow down and notice the beauty in all of Gods creations. Things that I really never noticed before. For me it was a good investment.
