Post subject:  Lake Moomaw
I had a good morning on Moomaw this past weekend, the weather was nice and the fish were active. I fished from daybreak until 11:30 I boated eight bass & one chain pike, the bass averaged about two Lb. the pike was 16 or 17 in. I lost a few fish as well. I just wish this cool weather would stick around a bit longer. Oh well summer is here, but fall is just a few month's away :D

turkenator, I use artificial lures for all my fishing, nothing against live bait, It's just not for me. I caught six bass on Lucky Craft Staysee and two on spinnerbaits. The conditions were just right for these lures, it was cool and breezy. If the weather is hot and the water flat this weekend, I'll be throwing top water early and plastic worms later.

I'm right with ya on that one Struttinbird! I only fish artificial as well, kinda the way I look at spring gobbler hunting... if I can't call him in, then I ain't gonna kill him... same thing for fish, if I can't fool him with something artificial, then I guess I won't be catching anything! :wink:
