So far this spring i've caught three largemouth one was close to 8 1/2 lbs been using a little hook catching small brim 3-4in long hook threw the back with a bigger hook nice sized bobber toss'em were i think a nest is an wham!! The key is let'em take it till the bobber dispears. Not sure the regs. with live bait but it sure works great for me.

That would be news to me. As long as they are taken by rod and reel they may be used as bait as far as I know.

aslong as you catch them there legal. Only law on that is you can't sell them as bait. Now it illegal to use gold fish............ but crappie and bass love them :wink:

Did a bunch of research on use of bluegill and sunfish as bait and legal as long as you catch them and then use them We use them as flathead bait regularly. Nice job on the largemouth with them.
