Mission accomplished. As the tide fell the digging got better.
When we got to the spot it looked like a cormorant was fishing. That was until it popped its head above water and in no uncertain terms told us it was a loon. It never strayed from the pool and spoke to us multiple times while we dug. We were thinking it was feeding on smelts.
It would only stay on the surface for a nano second.
Super Bowl munchies. GO PATS!
