Post Great Bay oysters and soft shelled clams
Today we arrived a bit early of low tide and used tongs in approx 3 feet of water to get our limit each of oysters. We were both very impressed with the size of the oysters this year. Those 50 cent piece size oysters of last year have grown nicely in the salty waters of Great Bay this summer.

After tonging for oysters it was time to dig clams. We had the beach to ourselves.

And then rinse off the bounty.

When the work was done it was time to celebrate. Going........

It has been a long wait for a plate of Great Bay soft shell clams... It didn't take long to prepare the meal.

I love Great Bay's bounties.
