Post new river
I hit the river again today for another all day float. Total probly caught 50+ fish with 18 3/4" was the biggest for the day followed by a 17 1/2" and a 17"er and a half dozen 15-16"ers. I had a couple of first on this trip first I hooked a 6-7" smallie and it started jumpng out of the water franticly. My first thought was there was a muskie chasing it but finally a huge smallie caught the little guy and swam around with him for about 20 sec at my yak before letting go! The other thing was I caught a 25" carp from the yak. Talk about a fight! That fish was pulling the yak around every where. Overall a great day on the water. I caught several nice smallies and I lost 2 solid fish that Im still thinking about! Most fish were weightless plastics or a tube.

17 1/2" I left the tripod at home so I was holding the camera with my feet!

Nice day on the New. Good "foot" pics too. Carp are way under rating as a sporting fish. Any fish that pulls as hard as a carp deserves respect.

Sounds like a good trip! I am planning to go this weekend in WV. The water sure is cool for this time of the year in the New and other waters.
