Post Walleyes Anyone?
I always like to fish the sauger/walleye run right before turkey season opens, but me and my partner have backed off the bass fishing and turned our attention to summertime walleyes. A new learning experience but we are doing ok.
Here is a 5 lb 14 ozer I caught in mid June.

And here is a 4 lb 9 ozer I caught this past Saturday and was a part of my first limit ever. My partner came up a couple of fish short.

Mighty good eating!

WOW Shopson that is a good meal. I will hit some walleye fishing in NY/PA when I head up to PA in a few weeks. Usually fish Chataqua Lake with my father in law and hopefull Lake Erie too. Walleye are realle good eating, so I hope to catch some.
Are you fishing in the river for them? What are you using? In Chataqua we use a worm harness or a Hot N Tot, in Erie we use a Willow leaf that is a blad with a worm harness. Seems to work the best there.

Hody we are using harness and crawlers in the extreme headwaters of Douglas Lake, 15-20 feet deep.
