Post Teaching Abby the fine art of the FISH-FRY!!!!
Had some time Monday AM to get my Mom, Teddy, Amy, and Abby out for a fishing trip on a farm pond near the house. Abby's been fishing quite a few times but we've always put them back. I thought it was a good time to teach her about a fish-fry and was wondering what her reaction would be. She was fine with keeping them and had a blast catching them. The pond is overpopulated with small bass and bluegill so we kept about half the fish we caught. I now have a nice bowl of fillets ready for the fryer! Here's some pics...

She almost lost her rod to this guy...

The fine art of catching tadpoles was another lesson for today... :)

Great Job Abby, is that a Dora The Explorer fishing rod? I took my lttle girl to the local IW pond yesterday along with her two older brothers and she wore them out, she has one of those outfits just like yours. Kudo's Freddy and Amy for keeping her interested in the outdoors in lieu of the cursed video game syndrome> I wish there were more parents like yourself that taught kids the finer things in life that GOD has given us in nature. Keep it up Abby you might be on BASSMASTERS one day or even MISS AMERICA with that smile.

Beardbuster... That is most certainly the Dora the Explorer rod. She's got it broke in for this coming Saturday Barry! We'll see you there!!

She absolutely loves to be outdoors... doing anything... I think she's got it in her blood!

what else can i say that i havent already said to you and Amy.
enjoy the blessings...sometimes all you can do is see them happen.
then go by to quick...be careful, you will blink and see her walking on stage to get her HS diploma and planning her departure for college.

i love the pix!
