Post Last minute fishing trip...
Last Wednesday Dale called and said him and BigBird had thrown together a quick fishing trip for catfish.

I was happy to join them and when the stripers started busting shad across the lake from us we changed our target quarry...

The Team was able to land this pretty decent striper...

I headed out Saturday night for something I haven't done in years... me and a buddy gigged some frogs. We had a blast and got about 15 or so. It brought back a lot of memories for sure!

Again good job hooking him and bringing in that big guy on suspect line! That was very cool. Next time you go gigging, let me know. I have never done that officially. 15 sounds like a good trip.

looks like you guys had a great time.

gigging huh? first seining in the creek, then catching warmouths and bullfrogs, and now gigging? sounds like the theme of the 2007 summer is RETRO! bring it on...all great stuff..

keep having fun...vicarious enjoyment helps us desk jockies a bunch.

The addiction never really goes away, just dormant during various periods of life. Congrats on getting back in the saddle again. Hope many more fun trips are to follow.

Frogs are up? Time to dig out the shooting sticks, the contender and a handful of 22 shorts. The hyde will have mud in the bottom this weekend. As Grandpa jones said "yum yum"
