After the fantastic Va Turkey cookout; Dale, Big Bird and I went fishing that evening. After a short time spent fishing for bluegills a.k.a. bait we floated toward a spot Dale & Big Bird have had luck in the past. The species we were after was the flathead. First fish on was my first ever striper....



Second fish was a channel cat. One striper was picking on Dale, jumping and carrying on to his left. Dale decided to go after a striper and hooked a nice fish. Big Bird was up next and on his first striper cast hooked a nice hybrid.

We had a great time even if the flatheads stood us up

MEGA Congrats on your very first striper. Fun was had by all, even the Flatheads who surely were laughing at us from somewhere. Can't wait to get out on the water again. Knocked 1 item off the honey do list today. Seven more to go!
