 Maury river smallmouth

Took my son Hunter 12 fishing on the Maury on Monday. We caught about 30 smallies and perch. Caught about 5 around a pound or so.

AHHH...the days of young. Spent most of my summers at the age of 10-15 fishing the day away in Western Roanoke County on the Roanoke River. Caught a many a 1 pound smallmouth and that pic brought back so many great memories. Sadly, the last time I revisted those same fishing grounds the fishing had all but dried up. Plenty of water, just no fish. Thanks for sharing such a nice pic. Love the hat as well. Class of '89/Class of '99 Alumni here!
