Re: Big Pine
The fish are usually between 3-6 lbs. Brooks, Browns, Rainbows and golds I had a blast when i went last year. I had a lot of success with a smaller spinning reel on a 8 foot fly pole. I used size 6 hooks and live minnows.
good luck

Re: Big Pine
I just called a buddy of mine and he said the fish aren't quite as heavy as they used to be... somewhere between 2-4 pounds now... but who knows that ol' guy probably has a few bruisers he puts in there when no one is looking... by the way i forgot to mention in my last post i was using 6 pound test line... good luck and good fishing

Thanks for all the info, i'm a big fly fishermen so i will probably use my fly rod most of the time, but i will take spin tackle also in case they are too big for my light fly rod.
