No one around my area is seeing are killing any real monster deer as of yet. Maybe the weather has been to warm? Anybody else heard of any monsters being killed? Any thoughts on where we are on rutting activity?

I have only deer hunted twice so far not much to offer on the rut

As to big bucks, I have been watching the Roanoke.Com trophy pics. Seems to be a couple real nice ones on there....

One of the more popular taxidermists in our area says that this year compared to last year through Nov 15 he has taken over 50% less bucks in. In my opinion ...althouh it can happen anytime in Nov the full moon is tonight so I expect with this cold weather coming it will bust open!!

i'd like to get my hands on a deer of that caliber! gee whizzz!!! anyways... i hunt in franklin county.. and if you would have asked me last week.. i would have said that the rut is in full peak!!... if you ask me this week.. i would tell you "what rut??" anyways.. i really enjoy hearing the fact that full moon is here... that sounds good. along with this cooler weather... however! i need to add this... my wife keeps laughing at me when i say that the hunting is gonna be awesome when the cold weather arrives.. and then she keeps reminding me.. that i killed two bucks in rut the first week.. in warm/hot weather! lol.. i tell her that she has a point there.. lol!.. anyways.. just a thought!
